View from the rocking chair

Or how I spent my mothers day weekend. My parents came to visit and they helped me do lots of tasks I have simply been unable to attend to. My garden is planted, the nursery is painted and the changing table is assembled.

Still to do: assemble 2 cribs, paint the trim, put up pictures, etc etc. But my new favorite thing to do is to steal into the nursery and spend a few quiet moments sitting in the corner rocking chair. Such peace.

Enjoy the peace and quiet while you can! ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Love it! I totally identify with the sneaking in to sit in the rocker- I have to do it at least once a day.

What a perfect way to spend mother’s day! The nursery is darling and the perfect place for the babes to start their lives.

I can’t believe you have it painted already! You are way ahead of me. I have the crib, dresser, changing table but have not painetd yet. I’d better get on it!

  7. this is my favorite post of yours ever. :~)

  8. I know just what you mean about enjoying the rocking chair in the nursery before the babies arrive. I used to do that all the time. And now, my baby boy LOVES his room! I lay him on the changing table, and as I manipulate his clothing and diaper, he just smiles and gurlgles and coos. I think the love that you put into the room will be felt and returned by the babes!

I love your changing table! Gorgeous! And I like the two-tone paint and chair rail. So sweet and soothing and welcoming!

I’m jealous that your garden is in. I haven’t done a thing. Not a thing in my garden. If I want some tomatoes this summer, I’d better get a move on!

Peace and joy to you and Joey.
