A funny thing happened

I am not 100% on how to share this but I’ll try to tread lightly.

This afternoon was a good one here at our house; good in the wink wink, nudge nudge kind of way. –And trust me the wink wink nudge nudge events have been absent this entire pregnancy so the significance of the afternoon cannot be over emphasized. — So anyway, after Joey’s *erm* turn, we were having a lovely cuddle time and she grabbed my hand and placed it on her tummy. Now Joey really likes to put my hand on her belly as she is feeling the babies kick. I humor her but I only always feel her pulse. So as she grabbed my hand, I didn’t expect anything. And almost immediately, Baby A kicked the side of her belly under my hand, hard. I felt it!!! It was the coolest little kick. I started laughing in awe and Joey said, “That was the hardest ever. You felt it right?!” I did and I can still feel the echo of that little stretch.

There are babies in that belly.

Cute!!!! And hooray for wink wink nudge nudge too! It’s hard to get that going when one is up the duff. Though I hear from the straight people on my BBC. Birth month group that they are at it all the time!!! Apparently pregnancy makes some people horny! Who knew?!!

The first kick is a miraculous feeling! Wait until you can SEE them rolling around in there!! It’s like your belly does the wave from within!

  3. What a wonderful moment in so many ways!

  4. What a wonderful *wink wink nudge nudge* way to feel the first movements- and congrats on participating in a little *wink wink nudge nudge*- it doesn’t happen often at our house anymore 😦

I am SO glad you shared cause this story just made me smile. Yay for feeling the little guys in there!

  8. Your first baby kick! How exciting. There will be so many more and they are just as fun as the first one.

  9. That’s awesome. (The second trimester is the sexiest.) D. was only able to feel the girls kicking a few times — they were coy in utero — whereas I still remember the somersaults! One neat thing about my twins was that they responded differently to music in utero– one liked the bass line, the other liked the treble — but I could get them both going with electronica and, amusingly, Eminem’s “Without Me.”

  10. That is so awesome! All of it. πŸ˜‰

  11. I think it’s sweet that you were in a tender and cozy moment together when you felt the first kick. That makes it all the more special. And who knows…maybe Joey’s **erm** turn had something to do with getting little A doing soccer kicks!
